Karen´s painting´s (By the way, karen is also the Chef )

 

Karens work´s are of many varying styles. In some you will see a bold contemporary style & in others a factual representative imagery or creation´s drawn from thought´s or experiences.

Some picture´s such as “California dreaming” & “The Mechanic” evolved from fixation´s. These start out as impressions, dream´s, emotion´s or memories & over time, solidify into “Auras” of colour & shape without any form of  identity at all.This time can be frustratingly irritating until finaly this “aura” metamorphises into a real & visible entity.

None of these painting´sare ever “contrived” they are merely inevitabilities.

Other pictures, such as “The Ruin” & “Sanctuary” are a mix of reality & dream´s, a confusion of both world´s.

Some of these image´s are self explanatory as they are simply factoral representation´s of picturesque & charming place´s that Karen has visited & found inspirational.

Whatever your taste in art (& art is always´s objective) Karen paint´s such a wide diversity of  subject´s & build´s so many layer´s into her art so that it generally speaks on more than one level to every person.
